Note Generator
Every transfer of business waste in England and Wales needs a transfer note under section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Both sides keep it for two years and must produce it on request. Most businesses clearing out old IT have never been told.
This fills one in properly, including the waste hierarchy declaration that most templates still circulating online are missing. It runs entirely in your browser — no account, and none of what you type is sent anywhere.

The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 require the transferor to declare that they have applied the waste hierarchy — prevention, then reuse, then recycling, then recovery, and disposal last. Most transfer note templates online predate this and omit it, which makes them non-compliant.

What this does and does not do
It lays out the information a transfer note has to carry and formats it as a document you can print and sign. It is not legal advice, and it cannot check that you have described the waste accurately — that part is yours, and it is the part enforcement actually turns on.
England and Wales. Scotland has its own duty of care regulations and Northern Ireland has a separate regime, so the references on this note are not the right ones there.
Not for hazardous waste. CRT monitors, fluorescent tubes and loose or damaged batteries need a consignment note. The tool blocks those on purpose rather than producing a document that would not cover the transfer.
Nothing is sent anywhere. There is no submit and no server. Company names, addresses and signatures stay in your browser, and closing the tab discards them.
