There is no single answer here, and anyone who gives you one is guessing. So here is the actual position.
London has no single waste authority. Reuse and recycling centres are run borough by borough and by four statutory joint authorities, and none of them take business or trade waste as free household waste — most refuse it outright, while a small number of sites accept it only through a separate chargeable trade route you have to register and book for.

The exceptions are real but narrow, they are chargeable, and they end with your equipment being processed for materials. None of them is a route to reuse.
The access rules vary just as much. London mostly does not run the annual van permit scheme you find in the counties — it uses outright bans and visit caps instead, so North London gives each resident six van bookings a year while Croydon issues no van permits at all and Smugglers Way in Wandsworth refuses vans and trailers outright. Booking rules differ too: North London needs no booking for a car but 24 hours’ notice for a van, Wandsworth requires a slot for any car visit, and Brent will not let you through the gate without a confirmed booking.
Businesses have a separate duty of care for waste electricals under the WEEE Regulations, and you are required to be able to show where the equipment went. That is what we give you: a documented collection, certified data destruction, and a waste transfer record.
Anyone moving your waste commercially has to be a registered waste carrier. We are — registration CBDU607333, checkable on the Environment Agency public register, and listed on our certifications page.

Monday and Thursday to Sunday, 8am to 4pm
They will take it. But you will need a car, and a free hour in opening hours — and the machine is processed for its materials. Nobody uses it again.
We collect from your door for nothing, wipe the data to NIST 800-88 standard, and if the machine still has life in it we refurbish it and pass it on. If it is genuinely dead, we recycle it responsibly — and tell you that is what happened.

WHERE WE COLLECT IN LONDON
All 32 boroughs and the City. Central, north, south, east and west — we are not running a van round, so a Hackney postcode is no harder for us than a Hounslow one.
We collect nationwide by courier, or send you a prepaid postage label if you would rather drop it off — there is no fixed local round to wait for, so book whenever suits you. Labels and QR codes are issued between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
