A LAPTOP, AND SOMETHING
TO PUT ON YOUR CV.
Applying for jobs without a computer is close to impossible. Almost every application, every interview, every training course now assumes you have one. If you don’t, you’re locked out before you start.
We give refurbished laptops to young people who are out of work, education or training. Free, no repayment, yours to keep. And if you want more than a device, we’ll teach you to fix them.
WHAT YOU GET WITH A DEVICE
- A tested, working laptop with a fresh operating system and a charger
- Free delivery anywhere in the UK
- 30 days of support if something goes wrong
- It’s yours. There is nothing to pay back and no catch.
PLACEMENTS — THE PART PEOPLE DON’T EXPECT
We run supported placements in our refurbishment workshop. You’d learn to diagnose hardware faults, wipe data to professional standard, test and grade machines, and track assets — the actual skills an IT support or asset management job asks for.
You get supervision, a recognised qualification at the end, a reference from us, and a device of your own.
No experience needed and no qualifications required to start. We’re interested in whether you’ll turn up, not what you’ve done before.
WHO CAN APPLY
Young people aged 16–24 who aren’t currently in work, education or training. You can apply yourself, or a support worker, key worker, careers adviser or charity can apply on your behalf — whichever is easier.
We prioritise people who’d struggle to get a device any other way, including care leavers and people managing a health condition or disability. We don’t ask for proof of income and we don’t means-test.
FOR ORGANISATIONS SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE
If you’re a charity, college, youth service or employment programme, you can refer young people to us in bulk rather than one at a time, and we can talk about running placements alongside your existing provision.
We supply the hardware, the workshop and the real work; you keep the relationship and the pastoral support.
