Every storage device we receive is sanitised to NIST SP 800-88 or physically destroyed. You get a certificate listing each device by serial number, and a chain of custody you can interrogate at any point.

COLLECTION
A signed manifest at your door. Custody is documented from that moment, not from when the van gets back.

INTAKE AND LOGGING
Every device is recorded by make, model and serial number before anything is touched.

SANITISATION
NIST SP 800-88 method selected by media type. Verification is run on every drive; nothing is assumed.

DESTRUCTION WHERE NEEDED
Any drive failing verification, or too degraded to sanitise reliably, is physically destroyed.

CERTIFICATION
Your certificate is issued itemised by serial number, alongside WEEE waste transfer documentation and a disposition report.
QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED
What standard do you wipe to?
NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1, the guideline your auditor will recognise. It defines three levels — Clear, Purge and Destroy — and we select by device and media type rather than applying one method to everything.
What happens to a drive that cannot be wiped?
It is physically destroyed rather than passed on. A drive that fails verification never leaves our facility intact, and it appears on your certificate as destroyed rather than sanitised.
What does the certificate actually contain?
Every device by make, model and serial number, the sanitisation method applied to each, the date, and the name of the technician who performed it. Not a generic letter saying the job was done.
Can I track a specific device?
Yes. Ask us where a given serial number is at any point between collection and final disposition and we will tell you, with the record behind it.
Do I need to wipe devices before handing them over?
No. You are welcome to, and some organisations prefer to, but it is not required — the chain of custody starts at your door.
