Is it safe to donate?

Worrying about what is still on it is the most common reason a perfectly good laptop sits in a drawer for years. Three questions, and a straight answer.

What actually happens to the drive

Every device is logged by make, model and serial number on arrival. Storage is sanitised to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 with the method chosen by media type, and every drive is verified afterwards. Anything that fails verification is physically destroyed.
