September Hits Different
Every year around August and September, we get absolutely swamped with requests from schools, councils, and charities — all needing devices for the new school year. The demand massively outstrips what we have in stock.
The Summer Gap
Ironically, donations tend to slow down over summer. People are on holiday, busy with other things, and not thinking about that old laptop in the cupboard. Meanwhile, thousands of kids are about to start a school year without a computer at home.
How You Can Help
- Donate before July. It gives us time to wipe, fix, and distribute devices before the September rush.
- Spread the word. Share our page with friends and family. One post on social media can bring in dozens of donations.
- Check your workplace. Offices often have piles of old IT sitting around. Ask your IT team or boss.
If you've been putting off donating — now is the time. Those devices need to be on desks by September.
