We're Now Carbon Neutral — Here's What That Actually Means

Our facility now runs on 100% renewable energy, and we've hit net-zero on our operations. But what does 'carbon neutral' actually mean in practice? We explain.

Not Just a Buzzword

"Carbon neutral" gets thrown around a lot, so let us be specific about what it means for us:

What We Actually Did

  • Switched to 100% renewable electricity. Our workshop, servers, and data wiping rigs all run on green energy now.
  • Upgraded our lighting and heating. Full LED refit and high-efficiency heating throughout the facility.
  • Started electrifying our fleet. Our local collection vans are going electric. The first ones are already on the road.

We Didn't Just Buy Offsets

Some companies claim carbon neutrality by just buying carbon credits. We actually reduced our emissions first, then offset the small remainder. It's more expensive, but it's honest.

When you donate to us, the entire process — from pickup to refurbishment — now has a minimal carbon footprint. We want to save the planet, not just say we do.
